Frequently Asked Questions

What is a pip in forex?

A pip (percentage in point) is the smallest standard price move for a currency pair. For most pairs it is the fourth decimal place (0.0001); for JPY pairs it is typically the second decimal place (0.01).

How is pip value calculated?

Pip value depends on the pair's pip size, contract size, your lot size, and the quote currency relative to your account currency. Our tool uses standard contract sizes and converts pip value into your chosen account currency.

Does lot size affect pip value?

Yes. Pip value scales with position size: larger lots mean each pip movement has a larger monetary impact in your account currency.

Are metals and exotics included?

Yes. You can select pairs such as XAU/USD and XAG/USD alongside major, minor, and exotic FX pairs. Contract sizes follow the definitions used in our pair list.
